Pegged As a M*sshole

This quiz totally nailed my accent, even though I was (mistakenly) sure that I had long ago perfected my newscaster-I'm-from-anywhere-and-nowhere sound. My favorite question involves the "Mary, marry, merry" trifecta.

In case you're wondering, they don't all sound the same. :)

You definitely have a Boston accent, even if you think you don't. Of course, that doesn't mean you are from the Boston area, you may also be from New Hampshire or Maine.

It knew I was from the "Midland," which means I really don't have an accent.

Hah! I DON'T have a Boston accent! I moved here when I was 8 from Ohio and have always been proud that while I can correctly pronounce Worcester I have IDEAS not IDEARS! I am from the "Midland" and can't wait till I can finally land that lucrative announcing job, lol! I have to make my dear husband take this quiz-we have dog we rescued that we were going to rename "Pepper" but I couldn't take hearing my love shout "Peppah"!

Yes! Mary, merry (also Meri for Meridith), and marry sound totally different to me but it is some serious fun trying to get my favorite southerner to tell me who really called: "Mary? or Meri?". "Yes", he replies.
