Blogging's Nice and All...

CNN has been cutting to a DC coffeehouse called Tryst where they are holding a "Blog Party." It's a bunch of people sitting around blogging and talking as the returns come in. I don't mean to be a jerk, but can you imagine a less fun evening? Isn't blogging essentially a solitary activity? I'm not saying you can't be social while blogging, but it just seems unfortunate to try to make it seem more social than it is by putting the word "party" after it. Although, to quote Judd Nelson in The Breakfast Club when discussing The Geek's dorky extracurricular activities: "Well, it's social. Pathetic and sad...But social."
