My Big Bro and SIL got me the most uplifting and yet heart-rending gift for Chanukah:
It would be hilariously funny if only he hadn't actually said this stuff:
"I couldn't imagine somebody like Osama bin Laden understanding the joy of Hanukkah."
"Arbolist...look up the word. I don't know, maybe I made it up. Anyway, it's an arbo-tree-ist, somebody who knows about trees."
"We need an energy bill that encourages consumption."

E,
I too am counting down Dubya's time in office. But, here is my delimma: I am a federal employee who was targeting 3 Jan 2009 as my retirement date. Upon retirement, the retiree is present a signed certificate from the POTUS. As Dubya will be in office until the end of Jan 2009, he is slated to be the POTUS signing my retirement certificate. I am seriously considering delaying my retirement to avoid Dubya's signature... this is no small decision as it will impact my "severence" package unless I delay my retirement for a full year. What to do? What to do?
Wow.
Vander, if you got any denser, they'd be classifying your head as a black hole.
President Bush is evermore the enemy than those "crazy muslims," because, unlike your scapegoats, Bush wields the power of the most advanced war-machine on the planet, as opposed to a handful of hijacked airplanes.
And with that power comes an untold amount of responsibility. Responsibility that was cast aside so a group of megalomaniacs could affect whatever scheme it is that their mysterious agenda called for. A scheme that has resulted in the invasion of a country under false pretenses, and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Americans on foreign soil. And of course, when they bring the boys home in caskets, Americans citizens, families, wives, husbands, mothers, fathers and children, are not even allowed to see the casket until it's at a funeral. Pictures are forbidden. One could say, under your "great leader," all of the freedoms you so enjoy are pending immediate suspension.
That "brainless" media you're talking about, is that the same media that bunked with the party in power while they set the world on fire, or the well-nigh nonexistent "liberal media," that Bush is always complaining makes him look bad?
Because frankly, he doesn't need any media, brainless or no to look like an idiot. If he had the best for the country at heart, he would've put American lives first. Which (you guessed it) means there would've been no reason for him to stick his proverbial dick in Iraq. Period.
Sorry if my opinion offends you, but you're sticking up for a man, and ultimately a regime, that has done more harm to you and your fellow Americans than you can possibly imagine, even though you may be ignorant to it.
Double wow. I guess I am a weirdo, but it seems ANYONE running America (or at least sitting as president) is going to tick a lot of people off and make lots of mistakes - it's a no-win position really. That much power and responsibilty that is so multi-faceted as to be spherical; who could possibly do this job well? Al Gore? Hillary? Jeb? Any suggestion is laughable really. Maybe Jon Stewart... (Or Bill O'Reilley!)
